I'd say that this warning posted in a storefront in New Orleans should persuade the thugs roaming the streets and stealing goods. (It's understandable for these poor people to take food and water in this crisis but it's absurd to be stealing jewelry, cars, stereos, TVs, CDs and guns front the store owners.) Take a look:
