Defeat Isn't Worth It

I have to say that Cliff May has written a great column which points out that while a small majority of the Iraqi population is causing the problems in Iraq, it is still out duty to make sure that the respectable people in Iraq are not left on the lurch and left to their own devices to settle the mess. All in all, the Democrats in Congress might think that they're doing the will of the voters by pushing forward "non-binding resolutions" and talking about eventually putting Vietnam era restrictions on our soldiers but in reality they're ripping victory from the jaws of defeat. I just don't think that the soldiers who have fallen, the American people, and our friends in Iraq were booking on what the members of Congress are pushing through.
