Albania: A Detailed Look

Fire of Liberty

If you've been a constant reader of Fire of Liberty, you probably know by now that I'm a big fan of the Eastern European nations or what Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld deemed "New Europe." I guess I've been a fan of these nations ever since the 1980's when President Reagan reached out to the people of these states in their battle against their Communist masters. Along with a love of their passion for freedom, I've also had the pleasure of meeting and attending college at GC&SU with several students from Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia, and various other nations in Eastern Europe.(I've also had the good luck to meet some wonderful folks from Old Europe as well.) Hopefully, you'll have the good fortune to meet and talk to such wonderful people who have experienced such horrors under the forces of Communism.

Such a love for the peoples of Eastern Europe is also shared by National Review's Managing Editor Jay Nordlinger who has written several articles/impromptus on his most recent trip to Albania. If you want to learn a lot about this small nation in Eastern Europe and don't have the time to get into an In-Depth study, then these articles here, here, and here are for you to read. So get reading and have fun doing it.
