- Ever since I was a little child I have had a great interest in the news and events throughout the world. As a young child I also garnered a great respect for this nation and its desire to spread God's given rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness to the dark corners of the world which have been denied such rights for far too long. Call me idealistic if you will but if folks don't talk about and promote such ideas their society and way of life that we've grown accustomed to could blow away much like sands in a desert.

you support real democracy in iran?
there isn't even real democracy here in the U.S. we are a republic, not a democracy.
so, do you support real democracy for us AND iran?
or do you support a republic like we have for iran?
I only have look at Ancient Greece and remember the writings of Edmund Burke to know the problems and dangers that a nations runs into by having a real democracy. Now while the laws and influences on a nation are different based on where you're at, I'd say that Iran would be served best if they followed our model of government or that of most nations in Europe. The main point is that they should be able to follow through with their G-d given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which includes the freedom to choose one's form of government and their leaders which is far from what they have under the mullahs.
