Ralph Peters had a great Op/Ed in Tuesday's edition of USA Today on the strategic importance of winning Iraq. I'd have to say that Peters has demonstrated once again how much more important it is to look beyond the small tactical issues and focus on the big picture of securing Iraq for democracy and the Iraqi people. Above all of the petty barbs by dished out at President Bush on Iraq by the likes of Senator Kennedy and Kerry as well as the complaints by the small contingent of the Pat Buchanan wing of the Right(We have a eclectic mix of folks like this in the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy), the US winning the day in Iraq should be the chief objective. So, if you will, check out the Op/Ed. You won't be disappointed.
