Take a look at this from the Financial Times:
Japan, Iran's biggest oil customer, on Wednesday became the first country to reduce its imports of Iranian oil because of Tehran's nuclear dispute with the west.I have to say that if more nations and their respected oil refiners/importers around the world follow the lead of Nippon Oil(Japan's largest oil refinery), I think we could turn the mullahs away from their nuke quest. Unfortunately we're probably going to have to push the mullahs harder by supporting the democratic movement in Iran (Then we could kill two birds with one stone.)
Nippon Oil, Japan's largest refiner, will cut its purchases of Iranian crude oil by 15 per cent this year, Fumiaki Watari, Nippon's chairman, said on Wednesday.
"We have started reducing the percentage of Iranian crude and (are) shifting to other grades," he said in Tokyo. "Risks related to the country are getting higher."
