While May 29 is almost a month away, it looks like the people of France will vote "non" on the EU Constitution. See what the polls say:

Of voters who have decided how they will vote, 55 per cent said they would reject the EU treaty and 45 per cent said they would back it, according to the poll by the TNS-Sofres research group for Le Monde newspaper, RTL radio and LCI television.

Twenty-eight per cent were undecided on how to vote in the May 29 referendum.

Could Chirac see his envisioned EU Superstate become a mere chimera at the hands of the French. I sure hope so.
