Paul Jackson of The Calgary Sun has a good piece on the debunking of Kyoto by Astrophysicist Sallie Baliunas. Here's a sample:
Discover magazine has profiled Baliunas as one of America's most outstanding women scientists, and she presented evidence going back through tens of thousands of years to show climate change is a naturally occurring phenomena.
Glaciers advance and recede and lake levels rise and fall.
"The climate and the weather patterns change and always will, for we do not live in a Garden of Eden," she said.
Baliunas said if there actually was anything extraordinary about the 20th century, it was that there was so little climate change.
Widespread studies showed there was a slight warming trend from the start of the 20th century until around 1940, then a period of stagnation, with a slight warming trend reappearing at the end of the century.
