Syria

Fire of Liberty

Lawrence Kudlow had Farid N. Ghadry, President of the Reform Party of Syria on his show "Kudlow & Company" on CNBC (5:00 p.m. M-F). He urged President Bush to meet and embrace various dissidents of Syria and other regimes in the Middle East thus giving them a stronger voice. Ghadry is well aware of the power of the President has when it comes to supporting freedom movements. Just think of what the dissidents throughout South America, Poland and Russia achieved through President Reagan's support as well as the people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Lebanon with the support of President Bush. Ghadry noted how there were double thinking people in Syria who privately support freedom and democracy but publicly support Syria's Assad due to the fear of their life. He suggested that the President urge a democratic movement by supporting the people of Syria.

I hope Mr. Ghadry and his fellow dissidents get this much needed support. My bet is that the President will be glad to meet with him and his compatriots. Check out Mr. Ghadry and his Reform Party at http://reformsyria.org. I wish them the very best.
