Iraq: A Tide Changing Moment

Fire of Liberty

Jack Kelly has an awesome column in The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on how the tide is turning despite the ominous doom being projected by the MSM. Kelly points out that if we can spare a contingent of Marines to fight in western Iraq, then the actual destruction of the insurgency is at hand. Though the vast amount of bombs that have been going off throughtout the major cities of Iraq seems to be a real life "the sky is falling" epidemic, its merely is a last gasp for fresh air. As with a major storm, you will always have a remaining storm cell that releases a big deluge and then all is clear. The terrorists might have a deadly reach right now but it's much smaller now than several weeks ago thanks to the US Marines (all other US soldiers) and the brave Iraqi people. This elimination of the terrorists in Iraq will take some time but at least we're fighting on our terms and not theirs.
