Mark Steyn has a moving column in The Chicago Sun-Times on why John Bolton is needed at the UN. Steyn notes that Bolton has dealt with the inner workings of the UN and understands how incompetent and inefficient that the system at Turtle Bay has become. Therefore, Bolton is more attuned on how to fix the situation at the institution that has demonstrated failure time and time again. So, we might hear some ruckus about or from Bolton but at least this man will get the job done. Who would have figured that a fellow like Bolton could have ever pushed through a resolution that removed the odious "Zionism = Racism" resolution instituted in the 1970's. I'd say he's a better diplomat that what Joe Biden ever thought of.
