Congrats Ambassador Bolton

Fire of Liberty
Bolton

Finally, President Bush has pulled the trigger and has used his executive authority to install John Bolton as our new Ambassador to the UN. Now the US can get to work on pushing reforms within Turtle Bay because we have the powerful voice of John Bolton who will always make decisions that are in this nation's best interest and not to the whims of the other nations. It's about time that we place a person with the same temperament of Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Jeane Kirkpatrick in this seat in New York, especially when serious issues like Iran and North Korea's nuclear weapons are coming to a head. So with such pressing issues like these at hand, it's very comforting to have an Ambassador who will not become a wilting flower who prefers not to make waves but will push our agenda with all of his might. He's already demonstrated his abilities by getting nations to join the coalition in the first Gulf War, gathering enough votes to remove the "Zionism equals Racism" resolution, as well as getting dozens of nations to join the Proliferation Security Initiative to stop the spread of WMD around the world. So once again, congrats to Ambassador Bolton in his new post.

From the various shrieks coming from the offices of Senators Dodd, Kennedy, Kerry and other Democrats, I'd say that Bolton is a pretty darn good choice. So keep up the good work Mr. President. The madder it makes Ole Ted the better.
