Egypt

Fire of Liberty

Max Boot has a terrific column on Egypt in today's LA Times. In his column, Boot argues that the US should use it annual $2 billion stipend as leverage against Hosni Mubarak. If we pressured Egypt to reform and liberalize its system to allow the full emergence of a democratic movement. One can always get results when you start talking about "the green" especially cutting it off. I think Boot is on to something and hope President Bush and Secretary of State Rice will follow through. Here's hoping.
