It seems the Japanese are serious about imposing sanctions on North Korea, see here . The only way to stop the North Koreans is to hit the government of Pyongyang where it hurts and that's the pocketbook. As this story (Which I revealed in this earlier post) in The Times revealed, the regime of Kim Jong Il is teetering on a fall. The situation in North Korea is reaching critical mass and requires a firmer hand by the US, Japan or South Korea.
