America has lost a true friend in the country of Georgia. Our prayers go out for President Saakashvili, Georgia and PM Zhvania's family.
The Financial Times revealed in an article today, that Zurab Zhvania, prime minister of Georgia, was found dead in his apartment. The reformist minded PM and spearheader of "The Rose Revolution" was discovered slumped in his chair after succumbing to gas posioning. Due to the untimely death, President Mikhail Saakashvili has lost a true ally and is forced to seek out a new PM. During the interum period, President Saakashvili will wear the dual hats of prime minister and president.
